Now on to this weekend’s events for you and your kids to do around Long Island:
1. The Happy Elf at the Argyle Theater in Babylon - Nov 18th - Dec 31st
The Argyle Theater has yet another production on stage this season. The Happy Elf is a musical comedy by the Grammy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated composer and lyricist, Harry Connick, Jr., tells the tale of Eubie the Elf, a lovable fellow who wants to spread Christmas joy throughout the town of Bluesville. Tickets are $22.
2. LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival at Eisenhower Park - Nov 9 - Jan 7
Experience the magic of Luminocity! 🌟 Get ready to be dazzled at Eisenhower Park as it transforms into a winter wonderland, with millions of twinkling lights, immersive displays, and joyful festivities. It's the ultimate holiday treat for the whole family! ✨🎉 Tickets are $36 on weekends.
3. Frosty at the Engeman Theater in Northport - Dec 2nd-31st
Join Jenny and Frosty on their chilly adventures as they try to save the town of Chillsville from mean old Ethel Pierpot and her evil machine that will melt all the snow. Jenny calls on her Mom, the mayor, and all of you to help her save her home, get Frosty to the North Pole, and make this holiday season a Winter Wonderland for one and all! Tickets are $20.
4. Make Your Own Dreidel Game at the Syosset Home Depot - Sunday, Dec 3 at 10am
Join Rabbi Chanan Krivisky in this delightful children’s workshop. The kids will get a chance to build their very own Dreidel Game while you can do some holiday shopping in the power tools section. Doughnuts and Chanukah gelt will be served. Tickets are $7 per child.
5. Holiday Lighting Spectacular with the Syosset Woodbury Chamber of Commerce - Sunday Dec 4 at 4pm
Join the Syosset-Woodbury Chamber of Commerce for a festive family event. Live entertainment, lighting the tree and menorah, and a visit from Santa!
6. Snowflake Sock Skating at the Long Island Children’s Museum - Nov 11 - Jan 7
The Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City is pretty much a huge indoor playground for kids of all ages. Your kids will love the various exhibits which include a bubble station, a hands on musical adventure, plenty of building blocks, and now an indoor sock skating ring! Tickets are $17, but if you check with your local library you might get free passes.
7. Music of Queen for Kids at The Rock and Roll Playhouse in Port Washington - Sunday, Dec 3 at 12pm
From the event page: “Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll. See you at the show!” Tickets are $18.
8. Holiday Lights & Market at the Babylon Town Hall - Saturday, Dec 2 6-9pm
Join the Town of Babylon Parks Department and the Babylon Town Board as we kickoff another holiday season with a Holiday Lights & Market event at Town Hall! Come check out the festive decorations, take pictures with Santa and stroll through our holiday market. Organizers are asking everyone who comes to bring some non-perishable food items for the Town’s food pantry.
9. Magic of Lights Holiday Light Show at Jones Beach State Park - Nov 17 - Dec 30
The Holiday Magic is right around the corner! Throw your kids in the car and drive down to Jones Beach for a beautiful display of holiday lights. This is a drive-through experience, but there is a chance to stop at the Holiday Village for some hot cocoa, smores, and other treats. Books your tickets now to save!

10. Peppa Pig Sing-Along Party! at the Tilles Center - Saturday, Dec 9 at 2pm
Dance, clap, and sing with Peppa and her family along with Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep, and Gerald Giraffe. Blow up those balloons and get the disco ball ready as you and your family party along with Peppa in this 60-minute interactive musical adventure! Tickets start at $34.
11. Laurie Berkner: A Live Holiday Concert - Sunday, Dec 17 at 11am
A live solo concert performance by Laurie Berkner – A holiday tradition! Laurie’s solo show features holiday favorites, plus popular Berkner hits like “We Are The Dinosaurs,” and songs from the albums “A Laurie Berkner Christmas” and “Another Laurie Berkner Christmas”. Kids should plan to bring their dancing shoes and a stuffed animal (for their heads). Show runs approximately 60-75 min.
12. Harlem Globe Trotters at UBS Arena - Monday Jan 1 at 1pm
